Join Education Policy Pitch Night, presented by School Board School, CPEN, and Cohear!

proudly sponsored by Interact for Health.

It’s up to you to choose the winning pitches!

Join us to hear students, parents/caregivers, school staff members, and community members share their ideas for how to improve education in Cincinnati Public Schools or across the state. Then, you get to vote on which idea should be championed in the district or at the statehouse!

No matter where you live across the country, we know you'll hear innovative ideas for improving education that you can take back to your district.

There will be at least one winner chosen by the audience's vote, and at least one chosen by a panel of CPS and Ohio state leaders. Winning pitchers will work with school board members and district administrators or state elected officials to turn their ideas into reality.

Date: Tuesday, April 28, 2026

Time: 6:30-8:00 pm EST

Format: Virtual Zoom event

Policy vs Practice

While this event is called Education Policy Pitch Night, you will hear pitches for both policy ideas AND practice/procedure ideas- we just weren’t sure how to put all that in one snappy event name! It's important to know the difference between policy and practice because to be an effective advocate, you have to know not just what you're advocating for, but also who to advocate to. Not sure of the difference between policy and practice?

Check out this deck for a quick explanation.
