School Board School Data

Each session, event, or field trip has specific objectives that outline what knowledge, skills, and mindsets members will gain. We partner with evaluators from the University of Cincinnati to analyze our members’ growth and make sure we are hitting those goals and objectives so that they leave School Board School ready to serve as either effective school board members or education advocates.

Overwhelmingly, members from Class 2 would recommend School Board School to others.

Our members show significant growth in their understanding of the most important issues facing students in our community, and the role of the school board and administration in working on those issues.

Throughout School Board School, members learn how to navigate the school system to make change either as school board members or education advocates.

We know that individuals can make a positive impact but that coalitions change systems. That’s why we focus on building a diverse network of leaders who will work together to ensure every child in our district succeeds.

School Board School is an innovative program that motivates and empowers aspiring school board members and education advocates. School Board School has definitely influenced Cincinnati's local climate related to school board races. Graduates of the program leave with a much better understanding and knowledge base of the role of a school board member, lending them to becoming very effective decision-makers.
